The Two Trees of Eden
Kabbalah and Alchemy constitute to two principle sciences of the universe and are represented by the Tree of Life and the Tree of Knowledge within the Book of Genesis.
And out of the ground made יהוה אלוהים Jehovah Elohim (the Lord God) to grow every tree that is pleasant to the sight, and good for food; the tree of life also in the midst of the garden, and the tree of knowledge of good and evil. ―Genesis 2:9
Kabbalah, the Tree of Life, is a map of consciousness, from the highest levels of matter, energy and perception, down to the lowest and most material. Kabbalah is an essential aid when seeking to navigate the intricate and intimate symbolism of dreams and meditative experience, because the Hebrew root word קבל kabel means "to receive" knowledge, thereby defining genuine קבלה Kabbalah as the profound experiential wisdom one receives from divinity by awakening consciousness.
Likewise, the Tree of Knowledge, Alchemy, derives from the Arabic كيمياء (kimia), which is the root word for chemistry and illustrates its deep connection to the ancient and sunny land of Khem (Egypt). Alchemy, traditionally known as the science of transforming base metals into more refined ones, is the science or chemistry of الله Allah, אל El, or God in the Arabic and Hebrew languages. It is the method for harnessing the most potent energies of the universe within our own psycho-somatic nature through conscious works and voluntary efforts, whereby the lead or density of the terrestrial personality is transformed or transmuted into the gold of authentic spirituality.

Due to the abuse of the Tree of Knowledge, humanity, symbolized by Adam and Eve, entered into profound suffering. It is only by knowing how to use the symbolic Tree of Knowledge, the science of Alchemy, that human beings can return to the primordial bliss of Eden, which represents the lost innocence and original, pure state of the consciousness.
