The Secret Path of Initiation Explained
Spiritual initiation is never granted unto persons in the physical world, but refers to developments and awakenings within the individual soul based on specific conscious works. In preparation for entering into the higher mysteries, disciples must face tests and ordeals to prove their worthiness, enduring numerous difficulties and psychological temptations. When the disciple has proven his or her ability to withstand such tests with patience and fidelity to the divine, such a person transforms the lower qualities of egotism into the luminous characteristics and virtues of the awakened consciousness. Such a person, by law of cause and effect, witnesses their own entrance into the communities of the higher dimensions through transcendental experiences.
Initiation, therefore, is the realization of the soul in its unification with divinity, and has nothing to do with titles, acquisitions, or superficialities in the material world.

Initiation is something very intimate to the Soul. The “I” does not receive initiations. Therefore, those who say, “I have so many initiations,” “I have such-and-such degrees,” are liars and fakes, because the “I” does not receive initiations or degrees. There are nine Initiations of Minor Mysteries and five important Initiations of Major Mysteries. The Soul is the one who receives the initiations. This is a very intimate matter; something that one must not go about speaking of, nor something that must be told to anyone. Indeed, all the initiations and degrees that many schools of the physical world confer have no value whatsoever in the superior worlds, because the masters of the White Lodge only recognize the legitimate initiations of the Soul as genuine. These are completely internal. ―Samael Aun Weor, The Perfect Matrimony
Numerous prophets and spiritual guides have mentioned or alluded to the difficult path that initiates the soul into the light. Yet for centuries, none have made this knowledge explicit to the public, since it was conserved in allegorical form within the diverse religious writings and unveiled solely through oral transmission to those who had proven their maturity. However, for the first time, the path of initiation is now made available to humanity in an effort to aid those who truly yearn for an internal spiritual revolution and who can take advantage of the techniques within this tradition to achieve spiritual success.
In all the books of ancient times, the secret path is cited. This path is quoted and mentioned in many verses; yet people do not know it. Beloved reader, to unveil, to show and to teach the esoteric path that leads to the final liberation is certainly the purpose of this book that you have in your hands. Certainly, what we deliver in this new book are transcendental, lived experiences. It is what we have verified, what we have directly experienced. ―Samael Aun Weor, The Three Mountains
