This spiritual exercise is known in some gnostic circles as the prayer for the irradiation of love, a direct means for awakening, developing, and empowering bodhichitta. Such an exercise can be practiced any time to inflame and inspire the consciousness towards alleviating humanity's suffering. It is also a remedy for reducing one's own pain, because by focusing on others, we develop genuine virtue and strengthen our best qualities (because if we are blinded by our passions and desires, we are less effective in serving our communities). Learn how to develop concentration, imagination, and prayer in combination to produce a profound synthesis: the rare virtue of impactful, divine compassion in service of others' wellbeing.
This exercise accompanies the lecture Cultivating Bodhichitta Through Intention and Practice from The Way of the Bodhisattva course. Transcription not yet available.

Tonglen (Tibetan: "giving and taking") is an exceptional practice within Mahayana Buddhism. Meditators can visualize, assimilate, and transform another person's illness through conscious love. Afterward, the practitioner sends the patient light, love, and healing at no cost to oneself. This exercise is complemented by the Biblical or Aramaic mantra Talitha Cumi (Mark 5:41), whereby the Christic force of enlightened compassion radically expedites convalescence and spiritual empowerment. By healing others, we gain divine favor.

A continuation on our practical series of runic yoga, an ancient mystical practice encoded within the Nordic language (Futhark ᚠᚢᚦᚨᚱᚲ). The Rune Ur (ᚢ) is the second letter of this sacred alphabet. From the solar, projective forces of the Rune Fah (ᚠ, the Divine Father) emanates the lunar, receptive powers of divine femininity, Ur (ᚢ, the Divine Mother). Ur or the Hebrew אור Aur is the light of spiritual consciousness, born in us through this profound exercise. Discover how to connect with the eternal feminine through this rune, so as to empower your heart and ability to positively impact your community.

A brief, guided relaxation practice to open the doors of imagination (perception of non-physical imagery) and psychological introspection (the internal analysis of oneself). By combining deep breathing with the study of the mind, practitioners can access a state of meditation (the in-depth understanding of any perceived phenomenon).

A brief meditation on the nature of spiritual perception and personal reflection. Through visualizing light and deep breathing, we relax the mind, heart, and body. By raising creative energy up to our midbrow then down to the heart, the consciousness stills negative emotions and awakens the higher faculties of the soul: sublime compassion, serenity, wisdom, and understanding.

The Rune Laf (ᛚ) is the rune of life, laughter, joy, and hope in the spirit. It is also deeply related with the sexual energy, since the power of generation, creation, creativity and life is in sex. On the 27th of each month, you can awaken and greet the morning sun, performing this rune to receive special assistance with any spiritual, emotional, or psychological problem. By relaxing the mind, heart, and body in this posture, you can pray for divine aid, experience profound insights, and receive inner strength for your spiritual work.

Learn how to commune with the spiritual intelligence of the Earth, known in the Bible as Melchizedek (Genesis 14:18-20) and in the Qur'an as "a servant from among Our servants" (Surah 18: "The Cave"). The Sufis refer to him as Khidr, "the Green One," since he is the divine consciousness of the globe, its forests, mountains, abundance, and life.
This meditation can be performed any day and time, but has special significance and potency on any Saturday the 13th of the year (from 12 pm to 1 pm, the thirteenth hour). This is because the forces of Melchizedek intensify on this date and are deeply related with the thirteenth arcanum of the Eternal Tarot, signifying mystical death of psychological impurity and the immortality of the soul. By connecting with this incredible initiate and divine being, we learn how to enter, sustain, and complete the path of initiation. Resource: Transcription not yet available. |
