Guided PracticesThe following live recordings explain how to practice, within the Gnostic tradition of Samael Aun Weor, some of many spiritual techniques that awaken consciousness. These recordings are meant to aid students in comprehending the purpose and application of gnostic methods while developing a meditation discipline in their daily life.
With practice, the experience or the direct living of any of the works that I have delivered to humanity, the practitioner will obviously achieve psychological emancipation. [...] We have wasted our time miserably if we are imprisoned only in theories, if we have not carried out anything practical, if we have not become conscious about what I have taught in my books, or if we leave the teachings in the memory. —Samael Aun Weor, The Revolution of the Dialectic |

Awakening Compassion Through Concentration, Imagination, and Prayer
This spiritual exercise is known in some gnostic circles as the prayer for the irradiation of love, a direct means for awakening, developing, and empowering bodhichitta. Such an exercise can be practiced any time to inflame and inspire the consciousness towards alleviating humanity's suffering. It is also a remedy for reducing one's own pain, because by focusing on others, we develop genuine virtue and strengthen our best qualities (because if we are blinded by our passions and desires, we are less effective in serving our communities). Learn how to develop concentration, imagination, and prayer in combination to produce a profound synthesis: the rare virtue of impactful, divine compassion in service of others' wellbeing.
This exercise accompanies the lecture Cultivating Bodhichitta Through Intention and Practice from The Way of the Bodhisattva course.

Candle Concentration Practice
Fire possesses mystical properties, which is why many religious traditions, cultures, and mythologies equate it with the divine presence. Through serene observation of a candle, practitioners can develop preliminary concentration. While watching the flame in the beginning, the mind will start to think and wander. However, with continuity of application, we establish profound attention without exertion or thought. The beauty of this simple practice is to become cognizant of our perception's qualities: are we attentive and clear, or clouded and distracted? Gently recalling the practice, again and again, we redirect, clarify, and strengthen our attention, thereby preparing our consciousness for authentic meditation.
Conjurations and Invocation for Spiritual Protection
"The black magicians of the Black Lodge struggle to swerve initiates off the path. This is why it is necessary, urgent, that the devotees defend themselves from the attacks of the tenebrous ones. Thus, it is urgent to learn how to do so... We must chant these mantras with all of our soul. We must chant them with profound emotion. This is how we defend ourselves from the tenebrous ones." —Samael Aun Weor
Learn how to defend yourself against negative forces through the power of prayer, faith, and divine remembrance. This practice conveys the Conjuration of the Four (a means of balancing psychological elements and purifying our environment), the Conjuration of the Seven (a potent technique for rejecting intense negativity), and the Invocation of Solomon (a prayer for receiving superior guidance from the spiritual hierarchies).

Divine Mother Visualization and Egyptian Mantra
The Divine Mother is referenced in every great world religion and mystical tradition. She is not some external, foreign figure, but a representation of our innermost divinity. The Egyptians venerated and invoked Her by many names, particularly Isis and Nut. This guided practice will lead you in a simple, beautiful, and profound prayer to your internal divine feminine, finalized with the sacred Egyptian mantra: O AO KAKOF NA KHONSA. Through prayer, vocalization, and meditation, we commune with and deeply realize Her compassionate presence in our lives.
Elemental Magic of the Aloe
All living beings from the inferior kingdoms have an elemental soul, including plants. Elementals of the plant kingdom are innocent, chaste, and powerful, since they have not left their paradisiacal state and retain their ability to consciously influence nature. The elemental of the aloe is exceptional for spiritual healing, protection, past life recall, and meditation. By learning to ethically command the elemental of the aloe, the initiate receives divine aid, the empowerment of a superior level of being, and the moral edification of others.
Ham-Sah Pranayama
Ham-Sah Pranayama is an essential technique for conserving and elevating creative energy from the sexual organs to the mind and heart. When the consciousness is empowered by sexual energy, it has greater activity, potential, and strength to perform the spiritual work. Learn how to perform Ham-Sah Pranayama and apply it for as long and as often as you need. We recommend starting with 15 minutes and building up your practice as you gain momentum and stamina.
How to Relax
A preliminary relaxation exercise to prepare for concentration, serenity, and meditation. By establishing a firm but relaxed posture, meditators can forget the body and withdraw attention within. When the body is calm and suspended, the consciousness can investigate and understand new phenomena within the screen of the imagination.
Mantras for Mental Healing (S M HON)
Initiates explain that the physical brain is not the mind nor the originator of thought. The brain is a vehicle, the intermediary between internal psychological processes and physical life. Initiates also demonstrate how the mind is a form of matter, energy, and perception within subtler dimensions of nature. This is most evident when we dream within the fifth dimension, either in the famous Theosophical astral body (कामरूपा kama rupa) or mental body (मनस् manas), the latter which grants us the capacity to think.
However, when the mental body becomes sick, physical illness is the outcome. The mind or mental body is a useful instrument when it is healthy, strong, and aligned with divinity. But when it is sick or depleted of vital energy, it cannot operate optimally, nor serve in the spiritual work.
The mantras S M HON help heal sicknesses of the mental body. In combination with professional treatment, the mantras S M HON can help alleviate symptoms of mental illness, since they transmute sexual energy into the mental body and procure its regeneration. Be mindful that these mantras only work in combination with chastity, meditation, and deep psychological work upon the ego. Through the conservation and transmutation of sexual energy, these mantras radically empower the consciousness, allowing it to control, balance, and heal the mind.

Meditation on Melchizedek
Learn how to commune with the spiritual intelligence of the Earth, known in the Bible as Melchizedek (Genesis 14:18-20) and in the Qur'an as "a servant from among Our servants" (Surah 18: "The Cave"). The Sufis refer to him as Khidr, "the Green One," since he is the divine consciousness of the globe, its forests, mountains, abundance, and life.
This meditation can be performed any day and time, but has special significance and potency on any Saturday the 13th of the year (from 12 pm to 1 pm, the thirteenth hour). This is because the forces of Melchizedek intensify on this date and are deeply related with the thirteenth arcanum of the Eternal Tarot, signifying mystical death of psychological impurity and the immortality of the soul. By connecting with this incredible initiate and divine being, we learn how to enter, sustain, and complete the path of initiation.

Relaxation, Self-Observation, and the Mantra Om
Stress and tension are the norm for modern Western life. Learn how to enter a state of lucid equanimity through pronouncing and prolonging the mantra Om (ओम्), a sacred syllable of divine import. By saturating our mind, heart, and body with superior influences, we strengthen the consciousness, minimize suffering, and enter the region of spiritual clarity.
Retrospection
A basic technique for remembering one's thoughts, emotions, impulses, behaviors, and activities. By serenely visualizing the events of the day and recalling them upon the screen of lucid imagination, the consciousness strengthens its ability to perceive and understand situations, interrelationships, virtues, errors, and solutions. Through dispassionately reviewing voluntarily evoked imagery, we begin to probe the underlying, psychological causes of suffering, discovering the way to transform pain into wisdom.
The Rune Fah (ᚠ)
Learn about runic yoga, an ancient mystical practice encoded within the Nordic alphabet (Futhark ᚠᚢᚦᚨᚱᚲ). By imitating the runes with our bodies, utilizing sacred sounds, prayers, and visualization, we assimilate Christic energy. Tonglen Meditation with the Mantra Talitha Cumi
Tonglen (Tibetan: "giving and taking") is an exceptional practice within Mahayana Buddhism. Meditators can visualize, assimilate, and transform another person's illness through conscious love. Afterward, the practitioner sends the patient light, love, and healing at no cost to oneself. This exercise is complemented by the Biblical or Aramaic mantra Talitha Cumi (Mark 5:41), whereby the Christic force of enlightened compassion radically expedites convalescence and spiritual empowerment. By healing others, we gain divine favor.
